He is an artist that creates through dreams and trance states induced by the pleasure of life. Experiencing the places of light, joy, disease, desire and despair he attends to the spirits that dwell in the hidden spaces… if for only a moment in time, to bring them forward for all time. These are dreams realized! The inspiring and sometime fear provoking dreams of sorcery, compassion, magic, addiction, shadows and technology are his springboard. He enjoys working closely with individuals in order to bring their ideas into a fully realized design and creation that truly embodies all that they wish to share with the world.
He has also studied the mystical practices of the Toltecs, Wiccans, Egyptians and the High Magicians as well as doing all he can to learn and understand the Catholicism he was raised with.
MISSION STATEMENT
Creation.
Art is creation therefore art is life. Art is the expression of the moments and movements that we create with our lives. Everything is Art.
I have been working in many areas of the arts for the past twenty years and have begun to realize STYLE and FOCUS within my work. Technique has been important but in retrospect, ALL my work has represented a mystically alien thread and tends toward the arcane dreamlike states that cause an individual to awaken disoriented, clambering for any meaning inherent within the shifting chimera. In short my work is about individuals struggling to realize their true selves through the adversity they face, whether it be real or imagined.
Adversity imposed by the internal processes of the individual as well as those reflected and mirrored within the individual’s external world, such as uncontrollable emotions. Demonic possession of the spirit called ANGER, the destroyer called JEALOUSY, an inability to take responsibility for the actions of a habitual creature searching for acceptance and love in a world full of people, too many voices, illusions and pain, and the foul bodiless creature named FEAR that traps us there.
I have moved into a new stage of creation that comes with Bloodline and traditional knowledge, a stage that challenges me to do more with the images and ideas that provoke my imagination. The challenge to become visible in the world, to be selfless and fearless in the face of adversity is pounding at my door and I am clear in my mind and heart, ready to open it.
I have become the artwork I am creating.
Everything is art.
